  1. I have to to say thank you to LIGHTNING UK for showing me how important the correct media is to get a good burn. Its not often you will get the creator of software taking the time out to help people out on a one to one basis. so................. THANK YOU LIGHTNING and all the beta testers and keep up the good work
  2. Quick update Lightning..... Verbs all the way mate picked up some from the local disk shop by me (only
  3. I didn't want to read that as i've only had the drive a matter of hours. I'll get some verbs later and test it out. Cheers for the help mate
  4. Cheers mate I was just scanning the log and it had the speed set at 2x I could of sworn i'd put 2.4x. So it could be the media? (I knew I should of gone for verbs) At least its not my drive, thank you for the help.
  5. If it still doesn't work, read this: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8996 Cheers LIGHTING but that link just sends me back to this thread.
  6. I've had to failed burns using a Pioneer 116D via usb using Aone DL dvd's (one printable the other not) here's my logs. I hope someone can help me as I hope its not the drive as its brand new. Thanks in advance Log 1. I 12:08:57 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started! I 12:08:57 Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 3) I 12:08:57 Total Physical Memory: 1,046,636 KB - Available: 455,924 KB I 12:08:57 Initialising SPTI... I 12:08:57 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 12:08:58 Found 1 DVD-ROM, 1 DVD
  7. I've just spoken to my friend who uses Aone with a Pioneer 116D and he hasn't had a bad burn yet (over 80 gig burnt) I didn't even know he used a 116D p.s. My laptop drive is dead It was on its last legs as I do alot of burning for friends and family I think the first DL dvd it did tipped it over the edge lol
  8. Yes but i'm putting in a case with a fan and usb (I use a laptop at the moment not got round to getting a new desk top)
  9. One of these Pioneer 116DBK
  10. Thanks for the reply Cynthia I've ordered the Pioneer (2.0 usb). Yes the code was RICOHJPND01. I'm still wondering if my drive has died as it tries to read but gives up after 5 seconds.
  11. I've just run imgburn to burn a xbox iso it wrote fine at 2.6x but when it came to finalize the disk (I'm sorry I don't have the error log but my laptop had to be shutdown as I could not abort the burn it hung for over an hour) it stuck at the 2nd attempt to finalise and my drive started to make a funny noise (my drive is a Sony DW-G520A GFS3 ATA) and now it won't read a thing. I'm thinking my drive is now dead. I'm not blaming the program but would cheap media do it? (I used Aone plus+ 8x DL) I'm gonna get a Pioneer 116DBK on the way is that a more reliable drive
