Thanks for the reply, I have tried a new lead and different USB port. Do you think it might be worth formatting the hard drive and starting a fresh to see if that removes any problematic drivers? Or is there an easier way of doing this? Cheers

Hello, I am having problems with my DVD burner, I can't burn using any software and when I try to use ImgBurn I get the following error when I turn my external drive on: I/O Error! If I turn off the drive and then turn it back on, ImgBurn will then recognise it without any error but when I try and burn an image ImgBurn freezes on Setting Write Parameters, and I have to kill it to stop it. Please can someone help me as this is really annoying me now!.. And I have bought a new drive when I probably didnt need to! Thanks in advance Mike
