First Timer - Burning Complete but disk remains blankl

I am trying to burn an ISO file to a DVD-r. After running the program it shows that the burning is complete with no errors. The program even shows the disk is not empty. However, nothing is burnt onto the disk. Please advise what I can do. Thanks!
