  1. I softmodded an Xbox (running XBMC). I have movies stored as .iso files on an external hard drive which the media player plays fine (with menus, etc.)...but these .iso files have run on my laptop as well (which this one won't)...
  2. Ah, gotcha...going to the virtual drive and playing worked...thanks! Only problem is my main reason for writing the data to an .iso file is so that I can transfer it onto my media center where I have other .iso files stored...Since I recall the other .iso files played as is, I'm expecting this one not to work on the media center?...
  3. Thanks for the reply...tried to install Virtual CloneDrive...can't open the .iso file that way either...
  4. I have a folder of .bup, .ifo, and .vob files from which I am trying to write an .iso file to the hard drive. I go through all the steps as usual and the log indicates the process was successful, yet I can't open the .iso file with either Windows Media Player or VLC media player. The individual files play fine on both players, however. Attempting to play the created .iso files on VLC player actually cause it to freeze up and necessitate shutting down the player using the task manager...any ideas as to what's wrong and how to fix it? 5. True, just never had an issue until this recent burn, usually have the write speed on auto and same media (although I know the media is not stellar). Anyway, was able to fix it with everyone's help...much appreciated!
  6. Would the incremental setting make the burn unsuccessful in and of itself or is decreasing the write speed to 4X the more likely reason it finally worked?
  7. Yes, in English.
  8. that seems to have worked, when I restored all default settings it went back to incremental...interesting. Anyway, I switched it to DAO/SAO and 4X and I think it worked 3 blank DVDs later...thanks!
  9. Try burning at 4x to see if you get a better burn. If that doesn't work then try with high quality media such as Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden blanks. You may also want to try with DVD+R media. Is there any reason for you to have changed the write type to Incremental? No I didn't change the write type, may have happened when I upgraded the version, not sure. Will that have a negative effect? I have burned about a hundred files without a problem before this one...
  10. Hello...I have used imgburn many many times without a problem...however, now I have run into a problem verifying a burn which I have tried over 3 times without success. The DVD hangs up when playing so there definitely is a problem... Log: I 21:15:54 ImgBurn Version 2.4.4.0 started!
