Get a new drive then, yours appear to have developed a fault. (Try giving it a clean with a clean disc before you do though)
Which would you advise me to, I want something that can burn dl discs at at least 2.4x and that won't give me any errors in the long run, and if possible sata. I'm really in decisive on drives so please help.

Try with some Verbatims.
I did with 2.4x speed, then I tried 2x then 4x, they all failed and I used up 3 of my good verbs.

(Disc ID: RITEK-S04-66) (Speeds: 4x, 6x, 8x)
Try the 6x and 8x write speeds.
If that also fails - try another brand of media (with another media code (Disc ID)).
I've tried doing both but I still gives me the same error. What should I do?

Can ImgBurn find the burner at all?
Tried to reflash it again? No errors during the flash?
Yes I reflashed it again, and my drive was recognized but I still get the same error, it says:
I/O Error!
SCSI Status: 0x02
Interpenetration: Check status!
CDB BLAH BLAH
Any ideas?

Did you restart the computer?
Yes I did

Try to update the firmware.
http://www.firmwarehq.com/Samsung/SH-S202N/files.html
4x is the lowest possible speed.
I upgraded the firmware but now my DVD drive isn't being recognized and when I put a disc in it doesn't read it at all. I still don't get why it won't work please help.

Hey, I burn a lot of 360 backups and quite recently I had an error with my drive. I had burned 40 Backups with no coasters with this particular drive. I usually use verbatim 2.4x MIS discs, however I ran out and I had to use these Memorex Riteks. Anyways, what had happened was that one of the gears in my drive was messed up and it caused my drive to randomly eject whenever I turned on my computer. I fixed that and ever since then I had this problem. Before that my DVD Burned cheap Memorex Media at 2.4x speed, but now I don't know whats wrong, please help.
Any Help is Appreciated!
