Hello,
I recently changed my motherboard to an Asus M3A78-CM. Considering that I've to use IDE channel for two IDE HD, I connected my DVD writer (Benq 1620) to a SATA channel, using an IDE to SATA adapter.
The drive is recognized by the OS, can read disks and also write DVD using CdburnerXP. Then I tried to burn an iso image to a DVD+RW using Imgburn:
1) ImgBurn starts normally and correctly identifies the drive.
2) I erased the DVD+RW using the Imgburn function
3) When I start writing the image, Imgburn hangs. Nothing is written on the log. The process cannot be terminated: when I try to stop it using the Task Manager, the whole system become buisy and the PC must be turned off.
Additional informations: the interface used is the default one (MS SPTI). No other can work, because on my PC the required SW components are not installed.
Do you have some suggestion ?
Thanks,
Fabio
