found my solution, unchecked the finalise disc - auto retry in write settings and they play just fine on any player, go figure

I hit this problem every now and then, I burn the DVD media with imgburn and it verifies fine but is not recognized by any DVD player however, I burn the same DVD media with Nero 6 (on the same machine minutes later) and it plays just fine on any DVD player both using the same media, Sony 16x blanks other computers see both burns fine using a liteon iHAS121 IDE drive on windows 2000 SP4 any ideas on tracking down this issue?
