[DVD-R will not burn with Imgburn]

I took your advice and tried using better disc's. I still had the same results.

 

Since this is a new PC, I called the customer support line and managed to have them send me a replacement NEC drive. This drive works great, I don't have any problems. Seems the Sony drive was the problem after all.

 

ImgBurn is working great...
