  1. Lightning, That actually worked! ISOBuster saves an ISO file of the right size. I changed the extension to RAR and winrar opened it without any complaints and the checksum matches! Thanks again for your help, Steve
  2. Yes, ISOBuster can do that. I'll give that a shot and report back. Thanks!
  3. I created a large (Acronis) backup of a system prior to upgrading to a new computer. I then divided the backup into 4.37 GB (4,698,669,056 Bytes) files using Winrar. I then proceeded to burn the individual files to DVD-R media using ImgBurn. Unfortunately I decided to use the ISO9660 + Joliet formats instaed of UDF and I checked the "Allow Files Exceeding Size Limit" option in the Advanced/Restrictions/ISO9660 tab, after reading that the WHOLE file will be written to the disk even though the size will say 4 GB. When I extract the image back to disk, the ISO image size is indeed 4.37 GB. However, all methods I tried (and I tried a lot, including ISOBuster, IMGBurn Read, etc.) to extract the RAR file from the image only give me a 4GB truncated file! Any idea how I can recover the original file? I'm sure the information is there I just don't know how to get to it. TIA for your help. Steve P.S. I didn't include a log because there is nothing out of the ordinary in the log.
