I created a large (Acronis) backup of a system prior to upgrading to a new computer. I then divided the backup into 4.37 GB (4,698,669,056 Bytes) files using Winrar. I then proceeded to burn the individual files to DVD-R media using ImgBurn.
Unfortunately I decided to use the ISO9660 + Joliet formats instaed of UDF and I checked the "Allow Files Exceeding Size Limit" option in the Advanced/Restrictions/ISO9660 tab, after reading that the WHOLE file will be written to the disk even though the size will say 4 GB.
When I extract the image back to disk, the ISO image size is indeed 4.37 GB. However, all methods I tried (and I tried a lot, including ISOBuster, IMGBurn Read, etc.) to extract the RAR file from the image only give me a 4GB truncated file!
Any idea how I can recover the original file? I'm sure the information is there I just don't know how to get to it.
TIA for your help.
Steve
P.S. I didn't include a log because there is nothing out of the ordinary in the log.
