  1. I'm not a gamer so I have no clue how vital it is that the burned DVD is book typed to a DVD-ROM.

    I 17:20:59 Book Type Setting: N/A

    I 17:46:33 Source Media Type: DVD+R DL (Book Type: DVD+R DL) (Disc ID: RITEK-S04-66) (Speeds: 4x, 6x, 8x)

I guess other members can fill in.

Could it be that i burnt the game at 2.4x speed and not 4x 6x or 8x? i thought the slower u burnt it the better but i didnt see that you need to write at a certian speed for certain dvdr's.

    I see several possible problems.

    1. You're not setting the Book Type to DVD-ROM

    2. The only DL disc you should use is Verbatim (the ones made in Singapore).

    3. The discs you are using don't show a 2.4x write speed. You are actually burning at 4x.

While I don't burn any game discs (only movies) I believe that what I've mentioned applies to what you are doing as well as to what I'm doing.

i have successfully burned 1 game already on these discs so i dont think that is the problem

  2. 2.4x burning speed is impossible to get. The lowest you can get is 4x.

    I 17:46:08 Average Write Rate: 5,402 KB/s (3.9x) - Maximum Write Rate: 5,572 KB/s (4.0x)

Slower is not always the best. It depends on the combination of media and burner.

why is there a 2.4x setting on image burn? is it not actually writing on 2.4x when that is selected or something?
