Actually i don't recall 2.4x speed listed in XP but i always burn 2.4x and speed wasnt changing during the burn process. In seven its stable only with 4x speed otherwise it growing up to 6-7x. I shouldn't worry about 4x speed?

in XP system everything works fine. Only vista and seven show 4x speed only. BTW i burned already 4 disc in 4x speed and it runs perfect.

Hi. Got new problem once have migrated from XP to Seven. Now ImgBurn doesnt recognize disc speeds. It says only 4x but it should be 2.4x. Here is my log: ASUS DRW-2014S1 1.01 (ATA) Current Profile: DVD+R DL Disc Information: Status: Empty Erasable: No Free Sectors: 4,173,824 Free Space: 8,547,991,552 bytes Free Time: 927:32:74 (MM:SS:FF) Supported Write Speeds: 4x DVD
