I/O Errors when burning AVCHD 25 gig images only
KgCobra replied to KgCobra's topic in ImgBurn Support
Ok, now I know I have an issue... The 8gb Verbatim discs are no longer working. I also have a IDE Pioneer RW burner that is working fine. I am guessing I have I/O SATA controller issue on the motherboard. Not sure how to fix that kind of thing, but to replace the board. The board website (Gigabyte) has no help on this issue. Anybody have a way of checking the I/O controller on a board? -

On your old drive you also used 10x? Tried other speeds with your new drive? Tried that as well... even 1x. -
I/O Errors when burning AVCHD 25 gig images only

Yup... exactly the same. -
Hey, I thought I had a bad drive, Pioneer BDR-203, after I was burning AVCHD images without issue for months. I had to switch media from Memorex 25 gigs to Maxwell, and I began to have issues. So, I found more Memorex, but with same problems. I still have no problems burning 8 gig disc images with Verbatim DVD+R DL. I've replaced the cables,(I've had that issue before) with no luck. I was then convinced that the drive was going out, so I purchased a Pioneer BDR-205. Straight out of the box it failed to write with same error log (listed). The only new programs I installed was Office 2010 RTM, updates from Microsoft, I've also updated the drives firmware to latest, as well as my BIOS and motherboard drivers... Not sure what is left to do?!? I even uninstalled ImgBurn and re-installed it just for shits and giggles. I would really appreciate in other suggestions or comments. Lightning, Apparently it was a bad image and NOT an I/O error as stated in the log. On a whim, I re-did the encode (5 hours worth), and the new image burnt just fine. As I had mentioned before, the program as always been solid for me and that is why I thought of trying a new image. Thanks for your help and quick responses. Keep up the great work, it is appreciated. Sincerely, KgCobra (Andrew)

The only thing that I can think has changed was I removed 2 virtual drives, one using UltraISO, the other BDDecryter. Otherwise, nothing has changed on my system. I was burning AVCHD discs, using Verbatium DCD+R DL discs with no issues. The drive I am using is listed in the pasted log. Any help or suggestions where to start looking for issues is greatly appreciated. This is the first issue I have ever had using the program for many years now. Thanks in advance...
