Now my computer just completely freezes when I try to start a burn.

Hmm alright.. I mean like i did just burn my last memorex 5 minutes before using the verbatims but ill check it out.

The Memorex's worked fine with no problem, I highly doubt it's the drive.

I tried both 8x and 4x.. They are the ones made in Singapore
