ive already cleaned it with 50psi air puffs and i only have a 50 disk spindle and ive already went through about 20 and ive tried random ones from the top middle and bottom after it stopped working. also ive already went through 1 spindle with only 2 coasters so the drive must have decided to just stop working

Im using My laptop simline drive and ive hade a few coasters every now and again but now it wont do nothing. Im using verbs tht r recommended on this site and my firmware is fully updated. whats ur advice on using by laptops simline drive bc it puts out a lot of coasters and ti wont verify right. i herd with newer drives i should up the speed?

But the other day i was modding a xbox and i accidentally caused a power surge in my computer when i hit the drives power source and now it wont read a thing. i guess the are bad it sucks that i live in a remote town far away from a good electronics store and i heard that verbatim is a must have so i ended up paying 5 bucks per disk because i couldn't get them in in packs

the thing was i burned a game on a memorix disk just before no problem then i puts the verbatim in and it did not work. plus it managed to finalize the disk?

That disc was damaged in a previously failed burn. Try with a brand new blank disc, and if it doesn't work then read this -> http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000 Theese disks are 23 bucks for 10 which is not cheep 10 Verbatim is 20 bucks befor shipping and i also tryed this again and got the smae I/O error with a new disk
