well i seem to have sorted it out.i tryd my lens cleaner again (that didnt work) so i cleaned the lense the good old fashion way ..(with vinager and a cotton bud) left if for 5 mins and then tryd to burn a disc again,would you adam and eve it it worked all the burning,verifying the lot. i will post the log when i burn another disc to prove it worked. just go,s to show if its good enough for your windows then its good enough as a lense cleaner. thanks for your help all the same peeps most greatfull.. heres the log lol (oh it took long cos i went out and my lappy draw doesnt go back in on its own) I 15:34:34 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started! Then it really looks like all you can do is replace the burner I did a quick look around and didn't find an updated firmware. i allso did that but to no avail i must say though late last night it did everything apart from verify the disc that fail becouse it siad the track was smaller than what the image file was.

ive tryd what you suggested allready as i looked round the forum and there was a sim thread,were that was mentioned. i still had no joy.

hi,here is my problem ive been trying to burn dvds using dvd-r,s However sometimes when i burn a disc, at the end it says 100% complete, but still says synchronising cache and just hangs and never completes (hence the tray never ejects). i know its not my laptop as the drive firmware is upto date.ive read al the facts also. can someone please point me in the right direction (as soon i will be selling coasters) thanks in advance.
