  1. Your burner doesn't like the blanks you're using, and we've seen many people having problems with that dye/ink. Use Verbatim DVD+R DL blanks and it should work. Thanks for the quick reply! The verbatim's I had previously used must have been duds from India... Although I've been doing this for a while now I never had any problems burning the DL's and therefore never had to understand the error log... I would appreciate it if you could please explain to me how the section you referred to shows that the discs are at fault? I am eager to learn but just don't know how to read/understand the log. Thanks!

  3. I had the same problem I/O error as everybody else but already went and bought a brand new Pioneer DVR-S18L (SATA) and the same error comes up. I have tried both verbatims and aones but that didn't make a difference. I did a virtual ram check (all was ok), updated the firmware, formatted and changed the OS from Windows 7 to XP, tried an older version of imgburn, wrote from different hdd's, tried the Patin-Couffin Software and ended up reinstalling W7 because none of those made a difference. Ultra DMA Mode 5 is also enabled. The only thing that worked for the first copy (but none afterwards) was to select 'Reading - Always use buffered I/O' and changing the buffer to 512MB I don't have the error log anymore but it's basically the same... the burn process fails after approx 10 minutes every time. Sorry, with all the formatting I lost the error log but it's basically the same as everybody else's... Please Help!!! Thanks!
