ok i went to dell.com and installed a chipset driver, tried 2 do both but it said i already had the best driver on the second 1. after that i tried it again.....twice. the first time i got to 98% so then i tried again and this time i only got 2 17%. heres the error log for the 17%. its plugged right into the back of the laptop. no hubs or anything. also i didnt assemble it, it came assembled.

Alright heres my problem. (i looked around a bit b4 i posted and can't find anything that has worked so far) I'm using a brand new Pioneer DVR-216R external dvd burner with brand new Verbatim 4.7GB dvd-r media.
