  1. Sounds reasonable, i searched around a bit and seems to be hardware failure most often. Will try to clean it with isopropyl alcohol and try again. Otherwise the 6 month old burner is toast. No wonder they practically give dvd-burners away for nothing when the quality is so bad. Thanks for the help!
  2. I know for sure that the batch is ok since i have burned over 100 dvds of the same batch. (i'm in the middle of a 25-pack spider also). Only thing changed is that i installed a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate x64 (Win 7 beta x64 prior to that). Same media, same hardware and same firmware. Only that now it coasters. Actually i burned a few coasters and then rebooted Windows. After reboot one disc burned fine, and tried another with failure. After that i installed all the newest chipset drivers and SATA drivers i could find, both trough Asus webpage and Intels. Same result. Sounds weird that i would have to clean the lens, but i'll buy a cleaning kit to try. Is there any driver och software i could have missed? Edit: Oh and i also tried different speed of burning. 8x 12x and 16x. Same result.
