My apologies for the duplicate thread. I am new to the forum and could not find my original thread so I thought I had done somethine wrong and the message was not posted. I am running Windows 7 Pro logged on as a user that is a member of the Administrators group. I am running ImgBurn via Remote Desktop. I just tested while logged in directly and I do not get the error. Any suggestions as to how to get ImgBurn to run via Remote Desktop without having to Run as Administrator? Thanks for your help.

If I run ImgBurn using Run as Administrator everything works. What privileges must I change to get ImgBurn to run without having to Run as Administrator? Thanks.

When trying to write to a Memorex DVD-R disc I get the error dialog described below immediately on initiating the burn operation. I have tried multiple discs and get the same error with each. I do not get any error using Memorex DVD+RW discs. I can write the Memorex DVD-R discs that fail in a desktop PC with an LG drive.

The computer is a Dell Insprion 9300 notebook running WinXP Pro with all service packs and updates.
Is this a media problem, a drive problem or something I am doing wrong? Thanks.
Will not see drive unless run with admin privileges

Thanks. Changing the AllowRemoteDASD registry key solved the problem.
