  1. Thanks for the really quick reply. I am gonna try flashing the firmware.
  2. Thanks a lot for the prompt reply! Bit curious though. The link you gave is for LG firmwares it seems. Will it work on my HP dvd1035i drive? I thought firmwares of a certain manufacturer are incompatible with a drive of another manufacturer. It says that too in the readme file. My firmware version of the drive is 1.02 [from Nero InfoTool]. I am sorry to ask seemingly stupid questions. Its that I just got my first burner and thus new to burning stuff. Thanks again for all the help!!
  3. I burned stuffs into a DVD+RW media using ImgBurn 2.5.0.0 and the burning was successful. When i tried to burn the EXACT same stuff using the SAME settings into a DVD-R media, there was a problem. The data was written into the DVD-R disc successfully (no complaint there!) but got stuck in the process of "Synchronising Cache.......". The writing process finished in around 6-8 min, (writing speed - 12x), but the "Synchronising Cache" process never ended. After 30 min like this, i had to terminate the program directly from the Task Manager. Because of this direct termination i could not retrieve the log. But the settings were same so the log should be the same too. I tried it at least 4 times, with DVD-R from a single box of 10. Below are few informations and the log of the writing of the stuffs inthe DVD+RW media.
