Tell him to burn at 6x or 4x to see how it turns out. If that doesn't work then he should try with Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden blanks. It worked! And he thanks you very much! He'd never burned a disc on his new computer, so he was kind of freaking out. I usually use Verbatim myself and they've been good to me, but not as good as Maxell. Fuji, on the other hand, I bought two spindles and 1/2 of them were scratched all to hell. It was a joke, but luckily I got them mega cheap.

Cheers, that's great to hear. Your program is a God-send! In another issue, my friend has had a problem using the program on his new computer with a Pioneer DVD Drive. Could anyone help him out? The log is as follows and he's using Sony DVD-R media.

Thanks, I might even try that method at some point if I get sick of hooking the computer up to the TV. Does anyone know if the PAL/Region 2 process differs from the R1 DVD copying? Do I have to change any settings or does it recognize PAL automatically and just burn the exact disc?

I'm just going to take the easy route and hook up my computer to my TV to play the PAL material. That should work, no?

I am in the process of getting a PAL DVD-R that I want to copy for my friend. Is the process different than copying NTSC? Would I have to change any settings or would the program recognize a PAL DVD-R automatically and just burn to the same format? I'd try it myself, but this will be the first PAL media I personally would have ever got my hands on. Thanks for your time, it's much appreciated.
