Hello...
I'm new to ImgBurn, and new to burning Dual Layer DVDs.
I've successfully burned about ten 4.7GB single layer DVDs using ImgBurn without producing a single coaster. But as you'll see from the ImgBurn log I've attached, I'm having trouble burning DL discs. Layer 0 burns without any apparent problems, but as soon as it reaches 50% completion and starts burning layer 1, it looks like it progresses fine for a few seconds, then freezes for a few seconds, then progresses some more, etc., etc., etc. This went on for 25 minutes, reaching about 75% completion, when it finally timed out. ...And yes, I've seen warnings on the Forum about using anything but Verbatim discs, but thought I'd post this before I trash my investment in blank DL discs.
BTW, ImgBurn reported that the blank DL discs I'm using allow 4X, 6X and 8X writing, so I chose to burn at 4X.
OS: Windows XP - SP2
Burner: External Sony DW-G120A (aka Sony DRU-120C as per label on drive), via USB port
Blank Ricoh DL DVD+R 8X discs - MID: "RICOHJPN-D01-67"
