Lightning, you are the best! You have no idea how much I've been rebooting all weekend, trying to disable my stupid screensaver, burning coasters, etc... I couldn't wait to get a cleaning disk (but I will as soon as the shops open) so I just looked inside my drive and took out a human hair that had somehow gotten onto the surface of the drive! Wow, no wonder they call you Lightning! That was so quick! Thanks very much; I'll try to get a cleaning disc as soon as the shops open. I'm using Verbatim DVD-R, but I'll give DVD+R a shot and see how it goes. Thanks again. Either way, I'll post about my results after I've tried.
