I honestly didn't know the difference when i bought them, they were on sale from a shop that was closing down - they only cost me £2.50 so i just grabbed them. And i don't have any single layer discs at home
I had already updated to the latest firmware after one of the above posts but got the same error. I'm getting some single layer discs later today - ill post if it works
Bleh, im using DL. Guess ill have to go out and buy some single layer. Out of interest, why does this matter? I know that dual layer can hold more information, but why would - oh, my burner probably doesn't support dual layer does it?
What do you mean by this ? I am totally ignorant of cd/dvd burning Do you mean i need to use a single-layer DVD? How do i determine if one is single-layer? :S
Hi, i really am a complete noob with CD/DVD burning. I am trying to burn a windows 7 installation disk onto a DVD but get an I/O error. I am unsure what this actually is, but i assume its probably because im using the wrong format of DVD or burning at an incorrect speed or something.
Here is the log of the failure:
I would appreciate anyone telling me what i am doing wrong and how to get this working I followed the operating system dvd burning guide perfectly but still got this error :S
Thanks in advance
