Under ide ata/atapi controllers there is 4 primary ide 4 secondary and 4 standered dual. I have the writer pluged into the two back usb ports. I'm so lost.

So i bought a new dvd writer and now getting error Medium not present Im going to get some better media tonight to make sure i didnt get a lemon burner. downloaded new firmware, says target not found I dont understand. nero recode wont finialze a disk also

thanks for replying. Yes tried 4x and 2.4x speeds... also thanks for the site for firmware.

Heres the log. this error has been happening to me for the since i started to play with imgburn. before i always used ripitforme (dvdshrink) then nero recode. Recode is no longer working for me so iv been trying to use img burn but havnt made a disk that works.
