Im not gonna lie that didnt help me 1 bit

OK IM TRYING TO burn a memorex 8.5 gig dvd+r dl disk. My computer is a panasonic and and is a laptop has windows xp on it and it is capable of burning discs. When i go to burn it down it it says this in the bottom right hand corner of img burner. Device not ready (Unable to Recover TOC) can anybody that knows what that means help me. Thanks
