  1. Switched to the Verbatims and as you guys have said, that did the trick.
  2. I considered switching it to 1x as a way to be as careful as [edit: possible] because the previous 4 were all burned at 2.4x, and all of them failed at the same spot. I think I'll be grabbing some Verbatim discs today so I'll give it another shot and see what happens. Might I be able to burn at a speed faster than 2x? I always thought that slowing it down could avoid any errors on the disc but I don't think the burn speed is the issue. It always gets to disc finalization with this Memorex ones and always does the same thing.
  3. As the title suggests, on 5 out of 5 Memorex (I know, I know...) DVD+R DL discs, at the very end when it's time to finalize, I get this error message: Potential 'WaitImmediateIO' Deferred - Session Fixation Error Writing Lead Out. My burner, a TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-H553A w/ firmware DE04, is able to read the disc, determine it's capacity, etc. and everything appears to go fine with the burn until the VERY end. Every time. Is there perhaps another firmware update that I'm not aware of? A program that I used directed me to Firmware HQ and on it my drive is listed as having only one firmware update, DE04. Furthermore, a quick Google search returned a Dell message board (that's the make of the computer that I have if that matters at all) where a couple of users confirmed having the same drive and being able to burn DL discs. I even found this site which appears to confirm that as well. Now, I know that Memorex discs are apparently crap, just found that out today after another Google search, but I wasn't the one who purchased these and at the time I didn't now about this. But even still, 5 discs straight? All with the same problem? In the event that there is something else wrong, perhaps something hardware related, I've included the .log:
