Thanks for the quick reply. I've tried the 8x rated verbatim at 4x with same result. I'll try these at 4x and reply with result. Are there known issue with my drive/firmware combo that has conflict with backing up discs?

Been trying to burn dual layer image on verbatim 2.4x disc. Seems like I can't get any verbatim to burn correctly. It always fails at 50% on verification. But, the verbatim fails to burn at 100% rate. The verbatim was manufactured in Singapore so I'm thinking it's my burner. Thanks in advance.
