  1. Thanks all for the replies. After realizing that a new Pioneer burner (SATA dvr-218lbk) is rly cheap (about 25 bucks here), i just bought a new one. Successfully burned the mentioned ISO at 6x speed, and after that the old dvd-burner recognized the disc as blank disc. The game was recognized by the new drive, and nicely runs on the PS2. So it seems the burner was at fault afterall. Thanks again all!
  2. But i did burned it at x6 - which was offered - and it still had the end result with the indicated failure. Seems like i`ll need a new burner...?
  3. Your drive has problem getting the supported speeds. First offers a few, than only one speed is offered. Your drive is getting old and needs replacement. Thanks, but again my problem IS NOT the write speed miscompare! Please read below. (W 15:41:55 Retry Failed - Reason: Unknown (Internal Target Failure) (ASC: 0x44, ASCQ: 0xD6))
  4. Its a somewhat old drive. http://www.cdrinfo.com/sections/reviews/specific.aspx?articleid=14845 It has the newest firmware avaiable. I`m afraid its "on it`s way out" but want to go for sure. It seems it only has problem with this ISO. Previous discs of this reel was burned w/o any problems. I`m rly sure that the burning speed error wasnt the problem since its autonmatically adjusting for correct burning speed (to 6x in this case). Can it be an image file based error (format, character set, etc.)?
  5. I wrote, that this happened to me for some time with the burning speed, no problem there yet. Discs are totally ok by the look Thanks tho. Any other opinion?
  6. Hi all, I had burn failure two times in row with same media and ISO file. Not sure what caused it, never had such error. I suppose my dvd burner is getting quite old, but not sure if i have to replace now. Disc ID: YUDEN000-T03-00, JVC brand. Wanted 4x burning speed, got 6x but this wasnt a problem at all so far when i burned different PS2 games. Error log attached. What could be the problem? Thanks in advance. TY.log
