I wanted to convert this mpg file to DL dvd.
Using nero, I created an image of the file and then successfuly burned it on a DL DVD.
I wanted to do the same thing with ImgBurn but I stopped when I saw on the info panel that the minimum required disk would be a BD.
How should I proceed?
Surely it must be as you say but, to be the devil's advocate, since the program has no access at burn time why are values such as PowerRec and Autostrategy ticked?
And why if I load ImgBurn and exit BP remains ticked while if I burn something and exit BP is unticked?
Sorry if all this sounds stupid to you.
It would matter if the drive indeed did not heed the command and the feature is off. I do not know.
Now, I hit refresh while data is actually written and the result is the same.
On a 755 drive after boot I open plextools pro (PT) and see the Burn Proof (BP) feature is ticked.
I open ImgBurn and make a data disk (cd / dvd) making sure BP is ticked in settings. When the process is over (either before or after exiting ImgBurn) I switch to PT, refresh and see that BP is UNTICKED.
This happens in Nero too, except that in Nero it happens as soon as the program loads.
Why is that?
Thanks
