yes this is a brand new pack. so how would i know which ones have the correct dye?
if I buy verbatim will they work?
I hate buying expensive coasters!

Your drive doesn't like the discs you're using.
See if there is a firmware update for the drive and try some different discs (Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden).
Really? I just used a previous pack of these with not one problem? Sheesh. The firmware is up to date so I know thats not it. I also know TDK and Memorex dont work with it so will look for Verbatim.

I have used Imgburn before with no problems using Sony DVD-R media on my Sony laptop with the Mats UJ812 drive.
Today I unsuccessfully tried to burn 3 discs and I keep getting the same error. I tried changing the write speed to 2x and 1x but got the same outcome. Here is the log. What could be the problem?

i picked up sony dvd-r and they work like a charm, no problems.

now there is a problem...
when I play the dvd on the laptop it's fine but when i put it in the dvd player it has hits throughout...is this the memorex media??

I just had a successful burn!!
I switched to Memorex DVD-R 4x
I switched the write speed to 2x
I assume it was the TDK media which was DVD-R 8x
everything went wonderful
My only question is after the write was 100 completed the disc ejected and nothing happened. I pushed it back in and then it proceeded to verify and then said it was successful. Do i have to do this for every one or will it work after the 100% write is done and not doing the verify?
I ask cuz it took about 20 minutes to write and another 5-10 minutes to verify.

i dont know how to do a log?
I updated all my drives and disconnected my firewalls before trying the burn so thats not it. COuld it be the brand of disc?

Here is the error I recieved...I first used DVD Shrink which worked fine. I have a DVD-RW drive in my laptop and I am usung TDK DVD-R discs.
