  1. Yes it does! Thank you so much Cynthia! -Peter
  2. I moved it from the internal marvel controller to the intel one, and it now works fine. Thanks everyone for their help.
  3. Never had any issues flashing firmware that had installers for XP. The installer file is from 2008 and the readme file might be even older, so it sounds more as they haven't added text for the later Windows versions. I've tried to use it, it detects the drive but fails to flash it. Test mode just finished and went to 100% with no errors. Odd.
  4. Go to a video-rental store and try their professional CD cleaners. It has worked for me when all else failed and they only charged me $2. They put it in a machine that they use to resurface their rental DVDs.
  5. The test-burn is up to 78% though, and it has not gotten that far ever on a real burn, I will wait and see if the test burn is successful.
  6. It doesn't hang as such, the program is still running and you can pause and resume, it just doesn't keep writing. I don't know with DVDs I will try one. That firmware won't install if you are running Windows7, so I can't try it, but it only adds support for some media that I don't use anyway according to the text file. I don't have access to a 2000/XP machine to flash the drive with though unfortunately.
  7. Thanks, I did that and edited my post above.

  9. G'day. I am riunning Windows 7 X64, with 12GB Ram on an i7 processor and the latest imgburn with an LG GGW-H20L BD burner. If I try to burn DL Bluray disks (Verbatim or Sony or TDK) then it starts off just fine, but anywhere between 15% an 70% the write speed just drops to zero. There are no errors in the log, it just says writing layer 0 (LBA 0 - 12219391). The computer stays responsive, I can pause the write and resume, but nothing happens, it just sits at 0x. I have tried leaving it for 8 hours in case it would finish or start back up again, but to no avail. I don't have any anti-virus or other programs running, it is a pretty clean install. Any ideas? I've made a lot of coasters. I'm trying a 'test-mode' burn now at 4x to see what happens.
