This time it worked! There was no problem with the disc, but disabling DVD-RAM/BD-RE Fast Write made the trick. Thanks
-
It seems I made a mistake the log was not attached. Here it is. ImgBurn.log

I did as you requested and I burnt at 2 k. But once again I received miscompare error when verifying. According to your advice I tried to continue the process but after several and continuous miscompare error more the program offered to disregard miscompare error what I did. But then after numberless other read errors I disregarded then too and finally the verifying stopped and I canceled the job. Attached the session log.

Yes, I disabled AnyDVD. I'll follow your advise. I will burn at 2x and, in case the problem appears again I'll continue verifying and I'll post the result. Thanks

Ooooops! I cannot understand what heppened. Maybe I sent the wrong file. If this is the case I apologize. Here is the output in my log with the word miscompare highlighted (BTW, I think it's not true that my drive only support writing at 2k. Actually it supports higher speeds but usually I reduce it to 4 K because on one ocassion I had a problem and you advised me in that way). ; //****************************************\\ ; ImgBurn Version 2.5.7.0 - Log ; Saturday, 22 September 2012, 23:22:11 ; \\****************************************// ; ; I 20:20:42 ImgBurn Version 2.5.7.0 started! I burned blu ray folders to a Verbatim BS-R 50 Gb disc. When verifying the disc I received an error message and although I was able to begin playing the disc on the blu ray player after a short while it stopped. I tried again, this time with a Sony BD-RE in order to avoid another coaster. Once again, when verifying I received the following message: "Miscompare t LBA:4981984, Offset: 0. Fole:\BDMV\STREAM\00501.m2ts. Device: 0x29. Imgew File: 0x7A. Total errors in Sector: 2036". Attached the log file. Thanks in advance for any help on this issue ImgBurn.log

Slowing the writing speed to 4x solved it. I hadn't thought about it because I never had a problem in the past burning DVD's or BD's with ImgBurn at full speed. Well, always there's a first time. Thank you very much for your help

I tried to write a BD folfer to a Verbatim BD-R 25 GB. After a while the work stopped and I received a i/O error messaage. I've attached the log file and the full error message. Any idea about what's going on will be appreciated ImgBurn.log Addenda: I tried a second time using a Momorex BD-r. This time, apparently, there was no problem with the burning. But ImgBurn couldn't verify. First there was a message about a failure to close the tray, that being usual with laptop computers. But I was using a desktop computer, the tray was closed and when I tried to open and clsoe it again there was a message saying Device not ready (The parameter is incorrect). The resulting disc couldn't be read or even recognized on my computer or on my BD player. New log attached. ImgBurn2.log

Hi, I don´t want to become a nuisance but I´haven´t found any help outside this Forum. First of all I would like to know if Lightning UK´s request for screenshots is fulfilled. In case I missed something please let me know and I´ll post it. I also want to tell about as new development. Today ImgBurn failed to burn a DVD9 disc. That´s a first time because before the problems only arose when using BD 50 Gb media. Until today I had no problems burning ISO's to BD25, DVD9 or DVD4. But the error message is very similar to the previous one. So I think that maybe someone could find some clue about what´s happening. Here´s the log: I 12:50:03 Operation Started! Thanks for your help No option in the BIOS to disable both of them. It´s RAID or AHCI. According to the Control Panel info I´ve an IDE ATA/ATAPI Intel controller and a IEEE 1394 Host Controller JMicron. If I understand correctly you´re saying that if the BD drive is connected to the Firewire controller I ought to switch it to the Intel controller ? Please forgive my question but my knowledge on this matter is limited as surely you´ll have realized. By the way, today I tried to burn the same input to the same BD-RW DL media using Nero Burning ROM. No failure, no error message, the task was completed successfully. I can watch the video. But if I switch to an scene more or less close to the end of the video after one or two seconds the image freezes and I cannot go on.
-
Just in case someone find a problem like mine, and trying to be helpful, here is the situation so far: 1. I´ve no problems burning BD-R 25 Gb. Previously I thought I had, but it was a video player software problem. The disc was right. 2. The problem arises when trying to burn double layers BD-RE 3. The failure always occur at the same point (58% of the task completed; size: 24.220.008.448 bytes) 4. Roxio software also fails to fulfill the task. So ImgBurn is not to be blamed. 5. I´ve the latest drivers and firmware installed 6. Previous to the burning I can play the blu-ray folder and files on my computer. So, the input is right. 7. The failures always happened using BD-RE DL media. I´ll buy some BD-R DL to see what happens -that´s becoming expensive!- 8. At that point I´m almost absolutely sure that´s a layer break point problem. I haven´t the slightest idea about how to fix it but I´ll continue trying to find out.
-
Well, after repeated failures I´ve decided to try something different. I tried to burn an smaller iso file (less than 25 Gb) on the same Verbatim BD-RE DL that I´ve used before. The burning failed but the important fact it that it stopped at exactly the same point that had stopped the previous re4cordings. In other words:_ in all the cases the burning stopped after writing 11826176 sectors or 24.220.008.448 bytes. I guess that means something (problems when it bagins to write the second layer ?) but regretfully my knowledge about BD burning is almost nil. Could someone please give some idea ? I would really appreciate it. This is the new log: I 22:07:20 ImgBurn Version 2.5.5.0 started!
