thanks for your reply i am not sure about the disc id, is there any way i can check with one of my older back-ups? i put one in my drive but couldnt find any id... anyway i tried burning the game on an old pc with an old version of imgburn on, and old firmware too and it burned perfectly?! i will also try the firmware update on my new pc, and i think i will try Verbatim discs next time too as Aones are so hit and miss these days.

So I'm trying to make a back up of an xbox 360 game, i use the same method as i always do yet cant get it burn?
