Thanks for the quick help. I updated the firmware but no change. Cable looks fine, and DMA settings appear fine (although it is XP...).

I'll have to pick up some new disks and see if that changes anything. Thanks

Hi guys - I've been a very casual user for a couple weeks - great product. I just rebuilt my PC recently (new Mobo, GPU), and now I can't burn! The interesting thing is that it's the same DVD writer, and the same spindle of DVD-Rs. XP. etc. When I rebuilt my PC, I upgraded to v2 of ImgBurn. I've tried slowing down the DVD writer to 6x (no change)

I can write to CDs fine (using JRiver Media), but not to DVDs. I assume it's something simple I'm missing - but I'm stumped...
