  3. Thanks for your reply. As I said, this laptop was pulled from the box just over a week ago.. so I don't think its the drive. My old laptop never had any troubles.. and I had burnt a whole heap of stuff with it! I've tried various writing speeds.. still producing a "blank" disc I've just gone to the shop and bought some Sony DVD+R discs to see if these work. Its after-hours so this was really my only option for now. I'll try some Verbatim discs tomorrow.. are all Verbatim's reliable or should I be looking for a specific (single-layer) type? Regards, chem
  4. Hi there, I've recently been given a new laptop at work and have used ImgBurn in the past with zero issues. This new laptop has never closed a disc properly.. and its literally a week old. Theres clearly data burned there, but everything thinks its blank I've searched all over this forum, and as far as I can tell, have tried everything to no avail.
