Hey,

I know there's an entire forum entitled burners, but its not really what I'm looking for.

I'm looking for personal recommendation about external dvd drives. I have a laptop and my built in one has been giving me lots of problems lately.

I want to burn dual layer dvds.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Also, I apologize if there is somewhere else I should put this. I can't seem to find that place, so I decided to put it here.

Well, I tried again at 4x and it worked. Huh. I also put a small piece of tape on my drive to hold it more straight in line with my computer. Shoddy hardware I guess.

I'm trying again with 4x. My friend moved my laptop last night while a DL dvd was burning and it hasn't worked with dual layer ever since

I can't seem to find anyone who has had this same error, so I decided to make a thread.

I'm trying to burn a duel layer dvd and this is the error i get, at around 19% complete.

I get an I/O Error with the following log.
