ok, so I have to wait for update? Not a hw problem rigt, so I have to return the burner asap.

ok, I dump a dvdr to a iso (one of the disc I burnt earlier with the new burner), then go to the verify mode with verify against image file option turn on, it read at full speed, or much faster than 2x.

no I deleted those iso, those iso were the first time I burn dvdr with the new burner, the old Asus burner never have this problem the verification speed problem.

ya I was burning some iso earlier and its doing this, also tried 3 different brand dvd-r. So only way I can verify fast with dvd-r is through the verify mode with the "option" off? How come this doesn't happen to bdr.

turn off "verify against image file" in verify mode, its fast now. Does that option apply to the verify option in burning mode? Is it less accurate? bd-r doesn't seems to have this problem.

oh, the stuffs I copied were folders, but I can try to burn an iso.

sorry about the log, the verify speed is only slow with dvd-r and only with imgburn, but bd-r is fast. Other software(power2Go) I tried is much faster than 2X.

I have a LG BH12LS35, every time when I try to verify a disc I copied, it only read at 2x even though it was burning at 12x speed. And it only does that to dvdr. All the bd-r that I burn verify at max speed. I also tried other program to burn some dvdr and verfy, and they read at max speed. Any idea what is wrong?
