Hi everyone,
I have a Matshita bd-mlt UJ230AS blu ray burner in a Sony Vaio VGN-FW378J. It will play blu ray but not write to a disk. Luckily I found Img Burn and got log files and at least now I know what is wrong. Hopefully someone here can help me find a solution.
I bought a spindle of Memorex blu ray disks. I also have a Sony RE disc. It won't write to either. The only other blu ray discs I have are movies that I bought.
I tried burning the Sony RE disk, then after failure I attempted a Memorex BD-R also with failure.
I've searched around for what a "power calibration area error" is, and I/O error - but don't know what to do. I have Vista - service pack 2, and 64-bit.
I have upgraded the firmware and drivers from the Sony website (Sony support? well, it isn't!)...So, here is a log file:
