It now managed to write without errors but the "verify" fails, does this confirm the sata card issue ? Thanks again for helping me out and being so fast with your replies.

Hi !! This is what I get using Verbatim MKM 003...

If I understand correctly, since the layer break is different my cheap media is unable to handle the burning task ? So this is not a hardware problem due to my configuration ? Thanks for the fast reply and your great burning app. I'll post my results within a week when I'll receive my Verbatim.

Hi everybody ! Been looking around for a solution to my problem but can't get an answer... I keep getting an I/O error when burning on a dual layer DVD at 50% (see attached screenshot and log). Some additional information that may help you out: - iHas dvd burner flashed with ixtreme burner max - the dvd burner is plugged to a via 6421a PCI card (since I don't have any sata port on my motherboard) with the latest drivers installed from via website.
