Thank you very much for your reply. I have disabled the currently installed anti virus software 'Kaspersky 2012' and deleted the ImgBurn registry key as advised. However, this did not resolve the situation I am experiencing and the error messages I get when attempting to uninstall or reinstall still appear, and I do not have this situation when installing other utility applications. 1. When uninstalling: NSIS Error Error launching installer 2. When installing: ImgBurn 2.5.6.0 setup Error! Can't initialize plug-ins directory. Please try again later. Any further advice to resolve will be appreciated. Thanks again.

Hi I am experiencing problems with imgburn ver 2.5.6.0 during burning discs so I decided to uninstall it and re-install it again. However, when I uninstall I get this NSIS error message: Error launching installer, and fails to uninstall. When attempting to re-install over the currently installed software, I get this error: ImgBurn 2.5.6.0 setup, Error! Can't initialize plug-ins directory. Please try again later. I have searched through teh forum for a similar previous problem to check for a resolution but couldn't find any. I am running Windows 7 64-bit and my drive is ATAPI DVD A DH16A6L ATA (I have run ImgBurn 2.5.5.0 before upgrading to the newer version without a problem). Please let me know if you can help and hope this thread will help others who may experience this error in the future. Thanks.
