Making a strait copy does not work because it has to be a bootable disk, and I believe that is what I am having trouble with. Please see attached I took screen shots of the files of disk 2. Please let me know what other information you need, this is the first time trying something like this so I apologize on the lack of info thanks again . disk 2.pdf

on another laptop I was trying to reformat it, and I have the system recovery disks there are 2 of them. I did the first disk and when i put the second one it says bad disk for some reason. I can open it and copy all the files on another laptop, what I want to try is copy disk 2 onto my other laptop and burn it onto another cd and see if that will work. I have tried 2 different ways with no luck, I also read the guide for vista/windows 7 but still stuck. Can someone please give me clear instructions on the process to accomplish this. recovery disks are for Vista. Thanks
