ok thank i dont know what i done when i was messing around with the drive but think i messed up the firmware, the drive dosent even show it can burn 8.5g anymore do you know where i could get a copy of the orignal firmware,i can only find it for the stanard version not the 5280s+

hi. i have a sony optiarc 5280 the one that burns 8.5 gigs is it possible to change any settings in img that will let me change the burn speed of a disk that will only burn at 4x and above down to burn a 2.4 i know this was possible on my old ihas but im not sure if the same process would work on the sony thanks

thank you lightning looks like its the drive ,have tried a few more burns but got same results even opened the drive to give it a clean .oh well looks like im in the market for a new drive i dont soppose you could point me to a list of drives that works with payload tools -

thanks lightning i let program do the adjustments, this is the 4th batch of verbs in 2 weeks so i think i can rule out the disks ,when you say turn opc off do you mean in settings untick perform opc before write,or would it make any difference if i flashed the burner back to stock firmware and tried using payload tools just trying to burn another with the changes you said and gettin this message in log set lo data zone capacity failed-reason invalid feild in parameters list -

the message says experience tell me that your drive isnt currently configured for optimal overburning performance online hyper tunning should be disabled overspeed should be disabled would you like me to make the nessary changes i dont know what ive done to start gettin this message but my burns have gone to shite, if anybody could offer help or advice plase thanks should have said im using ihas and verbatim disks and have tried 4 different spindles with same results

hi ive been backing up my game collection and everytime a burn get to 99% i get a error message about wrong parameters but when i click retry my disk will finish burning im using a ihas burner and verbatim dvd+r dl am i doing something wrong
