  1. You nailed mate cheers. I just tried several other flac files and all imported, burned and played back perfectly. All 16 bit. Being that flac is lossless I'll simply convert my 24 bit files to wav before importing to imgburn. Thanks for your efforts mate, I've been using your softwares for years and have recommended them to many. Great support -porche959
  2. thanks mate. I followed the instruction to the letter, got the little window that said this: --------------------------- Information... --------------------------- The DirectShow filter "C:\Program Files (x86)\Madflac\madFlac.ax" was registered successfully. --------------------------- OK --------------------------- but when i try imgburn i still get the same message: --------------------------- ImgBurn --------------------------- ConnectFilters(Source, Sample Grabber) Failed! File Name: Z:\music\BEATLES\The BEATLES Stereo USB\Music\FLAC\Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band\13 - A Day In The Life (2009 Digital Remaster).flac Reason: No combination of intermediate filters could be found to make the connection. Hint: You may need to install some additional DirectShow filters in order to support files of this type or the file might be corrupt. --------------------------- OK --------------------------- **also if I try to play the file it loads straight up in mplayerc, wmplayer tells me it can try to play, and then does perfectly. I was also just looking at a codec tweak tool and one of the options was to activate my inactive filter: Madflac.ax .however activating it made no difference
  3. ok I had K-lite installed but I removed, rebooted, reinstalled madflac, rebooted and i get this: --------------------------- ImgBurn --------------------------- ConnectFilters(Source, Sample Grabber) Failed! --------------------------- OK --------------------------- what have i done now? also files work in mplayerc but not wmplayer (win7 x64 home premium). thanks mate

  5. Hi there, Im using imgburn to burn audio CDs. This morning I attempted to burn some FLAC files (normally all my burned CDs are sourced from MP3 files). The CD burned fully and verified without errors. The problem is that the playback sounds very scratchy and also like the sound you get when you turn music up too loud for your speakers to handle. Its kind of hard to explain but the final result is horrible. The only track on the disc that started as an MP3 sounds crystal clear. (if need be I can rip one of the tracks and upload it as a sample, I just wasnt sure if that was a breach of copyright) I should mention that I can play my FLAC files without a problem through wmplayer or mplayerc so I have the right codecs installed to listen, which I beleived was the only requirement for IMGBURN to create an Audio CD. Can anyone possibly tell me what I have done wrong? Id rather use IMGBURN than some other software solution if possible. -Porsche959
