yes, I tried changing the settings. Same problem. I guess I will replace the drive. But I was just curious as to why I can burn files to a CD and burn DVDs using 1Click to copy a disk but burning files won't work. I just thinks it's weird.
-
OK, not very tech savy. How difficult is it to remove and install a new burner?
What I don't get is that it will burn disk to disk using another program.
-
Now I was having problems burning DVDs using 1Click DVD Copy which was working before. So I got a laser cleaning disk and now 1Click works so I thought that solved the problem, but I still keep getting Power Calibration Area error in Imgburn and OPC bError in Replay converter.
The drive will read CDs and DVDs, but it won't burn.

same problem no matter what speed.
If the lens is dirty, why does it work when I copy a disk to disk using 1Click DVD Copy?
I just don't understand.

I know there are several posts about this topic, but I could not reply to them. So sorry for the duplicate question.
I keep getting Power Calibration Area Error every time I try to burn to DVD.
My driver and firmware are up to date. I am using the same media as always (Verbatim DVD-R) and have not had any problems until recently.
I have unistalled and re-installed the drive several times.
The strange thing is I am able to burn a disk using 1Click DVD Copy and it plays in my DVD player fine.
I also burned a file to DVD using Roxio, but it only plays on my computer.
So I know that the burner DOES work.
I have tried several other programs (Replay Converter, DVD Flick, Express Burn) and all give the same error (either Power Calibration Area Error or OPC berror).
Please help as I am going crazy!
