I use VERBATIM DVD+R DL 8.5 GB 8x speed and 240min. Is that single layer???????????

Hi to all. I am trying to write a game for my xbox360 using imgburn and VERBATIM 8.5GB disc. After a while a mesage pops up saying THAT THERE IS NOT ENOUGH SPACE IN THE DISC TO BURN THIS IMAGE. My XBOX 360 is flashed with the latest version and the game is XGD3. What am i doing wrong???? Thank you.
