  1. I have a doubt concerning how to create a system image for my PC.

I have already tried the Windows 7 "Create a system image" built in program, but it seems to suffer with Double Layer DVDs. It keeps asking to insert a > 1 Gb media to be formatted.

I have also searched ImgBurn forums and guides trying to find a procedure, but so far I have found procedures to create images of a CD/DVD into the PC hard drives.

Searching / digging out the web, I found this procedure:

    1. Install ImgBurn.

    2. From Ez-Mode Picker, choose Create image file from file/folders.

    3. Click on File > Browse for a source folder ...

    4. From Computer, choose Local Disc (C:) - that is where I have Windows and all aplications installed.

    5. Click on Select Folder

    6. Then, click on Source dialog box, and add C:

    7. Then, on Destination, click on browse for a file (at the right of Destination dialog box), and pick the media player/recorder.

But, when I do this, the Destination choice box shows C:\Users\JCP\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Burn\0.0x0\Image 1.iso, as the destination file.

Is this a sort of Temporary storage location prior to copying to DVD / CD? If so, what would be the next steps?

If not, what is the correct procedure to create the system image (that contains Windows and all installed programs with their set up / configurations)?

    Cheers,

    Jose Pinho.
