Fair enough, thanks for the advice. I'll get a hold of some Verbatim DLs and check whether those work. If not, I can only conclude that my DVD drive doesn't fit the bill. I'll post back when I try to burn the Verbatim, for future reference.

Damn, that makes me pretty angry for spending my money on a large TDK spindle (I was told they're better than Verbatim). I was hoping that's not the problem. As for my second post, I've placed the DVD in my PS2 and it freezes at the intro cutscene so I'm guessing it's scratched. Is there any way I can still make an ISO from it or should I just stick to the old image?

So I've got a complementary question to this. The image I was trying to burn was made with my DVD drive from my computer. I got a hold of my original disc and tried to make another image of it, it's a DVD-ROM. But I get an I/O error when trying to read it too. Anyone know what this thing is? I have no idea what to do about it, is it the drive, in the end? Hi guys, So I'm trying to burn an .iso image to a DVD+R DL, I have checked with Nero InfoTool which says that I can write Dual Layer discs, but when I try to do it, I get an I/O error at 50%. I am using windows 7 Ultimate and have a Matshita DVD RAM UJ 850-z (ATA). I used ImgBurn to burn an image and single-layer is going great. I use TDK DVD+R DL and I burned at 2.4x The error, as far as I can see, happens when the drive tries to change the layer it writes on. Is this the fault of the drive? Would a Verbatim work 100% or should I just give up and get money for another dvd drive?
