Minigiant

So in a few weeks im off to university and realy want to take my dvd collection with me but without taking up the space. I own a 3TB External hard drive which i believe will be enough to hold them all. I was pointed to this program being able to do this for alongside Daemontools, but beside that im stuck. Ive downloaded both but am now realy confused Can anyone help?
