  1. Well, after spending most of the day trying to get this worked out, I decided to put things back the way they were. I could not get the BIOS update to work for the card. Read all the info. on how to do it, & I guess at this point I am suffering from info. overload, because whatever I tried, it just wouldn't work! BIOS update, even the driver file update I couldn't get to work. So to make it easy, I just put the pata drives back on mobo IDE1, & the (2) 1655's on the controller card. I ripped a couple of movies & burned one, & all seems to be working ok. Maybe if I feel like taking on a challenge in the future, I may tackle this again at some point. Thanks to all for the assistance! regards, katzz
  2. Thanks much, LUK! I will proceed with your instruction & keep you posted on how it all works out. cheers, katzz
  3. Ok, I am just a wee bit confused here; So, what you are saying to do is; 1. Update to the latest driver. 2. Update to the latest BIOS. 3.Run flash bios update tool. Do all in that order? I always get nervous when flashing firmware/BIOS, etc., so I want to make sure I am about to do it properly. I guess what is confusing me is #2 & #3. Seems kind of like the same thing... thanks, katzz
  4. Rosewill PCI IDE Card I have (2) Benq 1650's, & (2) Benq 1655's; I set them all to burn at 4x. Out of habit from the "old" days, I have always set my burns at 4x; maybe it is time to speed things up a bit! I have been advised in the past by chewy to put the optical drives on the mainboard connector, & put the HD on the controller cards. Apparently he has exp. with these setups, & controller cards can cause problems when optical drives are connected to them. That is something I guess I need to do, to eliminate potential problems. katzz:)
  5. Hi all, Thanks for all the replies, I appreciate it! Both of the burners that I was using are on a Rosewill pci/ide card; Setup as master/slave. I didn't give that a thought, but I wonder if that may have caused the problem? This is 8x media; however, I always set it to burn at 4x. @LUK; thanks for the awesome programs! regards, katzz
  6. I have searched the forums, but have not found any threads addressing the "multi-burn" problem I encountered. (Sorry if I missed it) I am attempting to burn multiple movies with IMGBurn; I loaded 2 ISO files previously created with shrink into IMG Burn queue, selected 2 different drives, & loaded the media. I then started the process & went away for awhile. Upon returning, I found the following error. I cannot determine the cause of the error... Any help? The first movie I loaded in the queue burned okay; this is the log from the second one that was in the queue; I have read the guides for doing the multiple burning, & as far as I can tell, I am doing exactly as outlined in them. thanks in advance! katzz
